Scienza Hosts Event; Mamelodi

Scienza interns hosted a programme entitled “Earth Day” on Wednesday afternoon at May Jemison library at University of Pretoria Mamelodi campus, of which the day was celebrated today.

The purpose of this programme was to teach students about science related issues which people in the communities are facing today.

“I feel like we are giving back to the community, we give them an idea of what science is about, issues related to science and we want them to be aware of things that affect the earth that could result to a serious loss in future”, said David.

Students from different schools gathered at May J that day to attend the programme and it was confirmed that the programme was valuable and worth attending.

“I’m glad that I have learned something new today, especially the Japanese paper folding called Origami, and that we were taught many ways to take care of our environment”, said student.
