TJ Fitness is currently hosting an Anti-drug abuse campaign at Pheladi -Nakene primary school in Mamelodi West Pretoria.
“We have realised that there is a lot of drugs issues in schools, so it is an awareness to stop it. Kids performance is to show that this is where the should rather spend their time doing rather than waste it with drugs”, said Thabo Lepule, from TJ Fitness.
“I believe that the education we received today as learners from Pheladi they will change us and I feel good about what has happened today at our school”, said one of the learners, Boitumelo Kgaphola.
A social worker and representative from Mental Health, Sophie Monkwe shared the impacts, causes, and consequences of using drugs to the kids. On her statement she mentioned that people who uses drugs approach them for assistance and they do give them assistant they need.
“Do not start smoking drugs and focus on your studies”, said Sophie Monkwe.
Rev Divhani Tshivhula representative from Mamelodi Men’s Forum (MMF) was fist to open an event of the day with a prayer and singing praise and shared a word of God.
Activities such as, gumboots dance, poets, dancing group, as part of the event were performed by the kids.
